Mini PGABC Gathering

The long/ short await gathering is here! Jus a few of us though. 7 out of 20.

Since Kee Weng is here in KL for the interview, (he is coming from Malacca) we just meet up for a mini gathering. PGABC stands for P&G ASEAN Business Challenge..LOL. from Wynlyn.

Regina also had an interview that day, so we met up!

Me from PJ, Wynlyn came from UM, Regina & Kee Weng came straight from P&G, Qin Mei from HELP, KK from UTAR that area, Haris came after Solat Jumaat n from Shah Alam! *woah*

Glad that those who can make it came. A few of them like pete, Dipesh n others can't make it o.

Watched Shutter Island....=.=" I really didn't know it's in horror movie's genre before I went in. I bet those who understand me well will know what happen to me as I stucked in it for 2 hours n 30 minutes.. *shivers*

Ian's Tour in PJ

Ikea & Ikano & The Curve, Mutiara Damansara

Ermmmm, this is also another outing...been planning for some time. Finally, it's here.

To bring Ian to run around PJ n find good food for him! Esther suggested Ian to come. Very very long ago. How many sems d? Can't remember. Decided to let him visit Ikea n have lunch there. Since he went to Europe's Ikea, but not Malaysia's Ikea. =.=

Esther's brother, Samuel is the driver of the day. Thanks! Brought us to Mutiara Damansara.

Oh, us includes Esther, Samuel, Ian Jenon, Au Yong Chee Meng n me.

P&G- Interviews

I'm rushing for my Pollution COntrol paper tmrw.
Studying non-stop. T.T
13 sets of notes within a day! T________T

But I just went for my third interview yesterday.
My third interview with P&G.
It's been a long way.
I've never thought that I'll be able to go that far.
Making it for the P&G Business Challenge Malaysia Finals is already a miracle!
Making for the third interview...I don't know whether everyone else got the same chance as me. Since I'm not familiar with the routes in P&G.
I don't know whether is this the last interview for me or not.
My path into P&G might stop there.
I really really hope that yesterday won't be the last time for me to step into P&G office in Surian Tower.

Since I'm not graduating this year, the only position I can go for is only internship in P&G.
It will give me an overview of what P&G ppl deal with most of the time. Before I decided to try this field, rather than engineering.

All three interviewers, Mr. Ridzwan, Ms. Pui San and Mr. Swadheen, thank you so much for willing to listen to me during the interviews.
I don't know how did I do. Well or bad. The last step is most probably waiting for a call or an email from either Jolyn or Azurin.
Well, I managed to go so far. Another friend of mine from P&G Business Challenge, Dipesh, also made it.
Let's see whether will we get another chance from P&G.

It's a very high hope, isn't it?
P&G is a global company. Do I deserve to get a placement there?

Mr. Swadheen really made me think.
Think about what I did. To give him good examples.
Marketing and CBD, the functions that I chose, requires me to be out of Msia.
Giving him my family background. Will it affect my job, if I really got it...
Think that whether will I be willing to go all the way out to work outside KL or Msia, either on short-termed or long-termed basis.

Think that whether will I be willing to be oversea. Forever? No turning back to Msia.

FOr now, I will tell u..YES.
I'm going all out. No matter where u send me.
Even back to your hometown, India. XD
*Of course I didn't tell him this.*

But will I still be able to give him the same answer later? I don't know.

I guess I shouldn't think too much.
Study comes first.

P&G ASEAN Business Challenge- Malaysia Finals (2)

I'm back, from P&G Business Challenge Malaysia Finals.

Woah. The only and only one impression.

Been offered good food, informative talks from the members of leadership team of P&G, involved in a business planning.

But not enough slp lah~ Can't enjoy the so sweet Pyramid Tower Hotel that we had to the fullest!

Good Food: Sunway Resort Hotel Lunch Buffet, Zen, Pyramid Tower Hotel Breakfast Buffet daily, Subway Sandwiches, PapaJohn's Pizza, DOME's Sandwiches, McD, KFC, Italiannies~

Been very challenging..Me, one who knows nothing about business, is involved to do a business plan on selling Gillette Mach 3 Razor in one of the four Giants appointed for 3 hours and 45 minutes!

I was tumpang-ing Pete's car that morning to go to Sunway Resort Hotel for the checking-in. But unfortunately, that fella said he was too stressed up the day before n accidentally pulled his ligament when he was releasing stress + playing futsal. =.= We were late due to peter-in-pku-bcoming-oku and also traffic jam. Reached there around 9.30am. We were late for an hour...

Some souvenirs from P&G. All their products! There were much more of course, I meant, their products!

We started with ice-breaking, as usual. Getting our group members..

Our lovely room~ Only have the time to take it's picture during our last night there. Sorry for the messy bed.

We are supposed to come up with a business plan full with marketing strategy n stuff to sell Gillette. Here are my team members. Team Moxie. Named by Kee Weng. Bringing the meaning of power and dominant! XP

In action. Designing our booth. I wonder when can we can get the photos from the photographer. Aihz. Presentation of business idea to the members of the leadership team, Mr. Avery, Ms. Shalini, Mr. Swadheen, Najima-san, Ms. Myriam.. I think that's all. Commented by them. Reconsider and plan execution!

Exciting! We actually bid RM 40.01. The kiam siap group. haha. But we managed to get Giant Kelana Jaya! Woohoo~ Our first choice!

Managed to sell 44 units of Gillette Mach 3 Razor with RM11.60 (RM12.88/ RM11.99 Original Price) and 4 units of Gillette Mach 3 Turbo with TM17.00 (RM18.98 Original Price). Within 3 hours and 45 minutes. We faced stock problems as there were only 6 units of Gillette Mach 3 Razor left in Giant, which we were supposed to purchase from. Thanks to our mentor, Nanta who actually drives out and bring us back the stocks!

Profit calculating by Wynlyn, our accounting student from UM and KK, finance student from TARC.. While me and the rest, Kee Weng and Haris were preparing our presentation of our outcome of our execution plan to be presented in 2 hours' time.

Yay! Everything done. After final presentation! Time to relax~ Photo-taking time~

We were having Italiannies for our dinner that night. In Sunway Pyramid. Cam-whoring there. In the high class Italiannies..haha

My roommie! Qinmei...can u believe it? She is only 19 years old and she is already in her 2nd year, Business Admin, Majoring Accounting in HELP!! I feel so old~

Yesshhh!! P&G Business Challenge!!

I finally made it there!! Very unexpectable... I thought I would fail those interviews~

Been missing classes to attend the interviews...n one bad impression interview..(IMO)

It's going to be a very good n memorable experience to join this!

It's this Wednesday..Other candidates and I are going to have a 4 days 3 nights stay in Sunway Resort! n travelling to n fro from PnG HQ...&

We had a briefing last Saturday. I managed to get a glimpse on other participants.

Wow...That's the only word I can come out with...

I felt so small there...Those people are damn geng!!!!

Feel kind of stress now.

I meet 4 girls that day..exclude ee lian since I already know her.

Li Jun from Metropolitian, doing Marketing..from Student Council! *WOW*

Qin Mei from HELP, doing Business Admin, major in Accounting I guess (sry, can't remember well), a member or representative of Toastmaster Club! *WOW*

Bad memory of mine..

The guys..Met 6 of them. But didn't really get to know them yet.

Some of them from MMU, some studying overseas..I meant the guys..it's like *WOOOW*

All the rest of participants are AWESOME!!! awesome, awesome!!

I really really felt so small here. I wonder P&G has no participants to choose from, then only they picked me =.=

I'm going to be working with these people..in group of 4.

Get a twin room in Sunway Resort with a new roommate that is arranged later.

*They have even number of participants for both girls n guys, just that they have more guys than girls, heard from Ms. Jolyn*

Oh ya, I forget to mention..It's only 20 of us in the Business Challenge!

n I'm so proud to be one of 20s...I hope I can be proud of that...haha

Ms. Jolyn did mention that only 2 of us, Lidesh and me, were interviewed twice. The rest of them only got once.

I wanted to post this as a memory, no matter how busy I'm now.

This feeling of getting so excited and worried at the same time will not come always.

*smiles*

But I guess I won't be able to smile after this. or even now.

In my hand now,

Pollution assignments (due date: tomorrow) - checked

HAZOP + P&ID (due date: friday) - in process (which means I got to get it done by tmrw, since friday I won't be in UPM. Apologies to my group mates)

Next week:

29/03 HAZOP Presentation by me (in the morning, Presentation slides shall be combined by me after I'm back from PnG on Saturday night)

30/03 Pollution Control Test 2 (12-1pm)

Korean Spelling Test 3 (6-7pm)

31-/03 Korean Aural Test (5-7pm)

1 or 2/04 Biochem Test 2 (Replacement Test, the paper is on this Wednesday actually, but I can't make it due to P&G.

So, I guess...I'm gonna be half dead or total dead next week.

Before that, let me enjoy, work n experience P&G to the fullest first!!!
