1st outing with my coursemates for this sem.
21 of us *except two* made it for this to celebrate for Kai, Hsim and Jing Jing's bdays!
We sort of like conquered both the biggest tables in the cafe.

Date: 08/07/2009 (Wednesday)
Venue: Station 1 Cafe, Seri Kembangan
Time: 6.30pm-10.30pm

The food n the drinks listed in the menu are interesting..The food came also not bad!

My Chicken Salad or something similar. Can't remember it well. Basically I only ate portion of it since I'm still kinda full. The rest of it went to my coursemates' tummy~

All the guys that came, besides Zhi Jie. He was no where to be found when this photo is taken.

Photos taken before the meals were there. Took quite some time since it's too big group of us, the indian waiter that served us got confused with a few of the dishes n missed some. The indian waiter speak cantonese!!

The service provided in Station 1 Cafe is quite good. The waitress brought the cake out for us, cut the cakes for us too..I bet it's a bit hassle to handle so big group of us. The total amount of the bill is 300 over bucks if I didn't remember wrongly.

It has been long for so many of us to actually gather n have a good chat. It was really nice to have everyone out that day.

Well, it's fun but I bet more assignments n lab reports are waiting for us next week~
So, let's enjoy n work till the max for this whole new sem!!

Tenji~

Guess what's this?
Date: 08/07/2009 (Wednesday)
Venue: Tenji, Japanese Buffet, Solaris Mont Kiara
Time: 11.30am- 6.00pm

Really really thanks to all my seniors who invited me to tag along for their victory lunch!!
It's kind of like to celebrate their achievement in the Chem-E-Car Competition last sem. Congrats again!!
Went in two Myvi cars to Mont Kiara. A total of 7 of us. A bit off track before reaching Mont Kiara.
I decided to skip an hour's class for it.. XP *Can't blame me, the lecturer changed the time last minute!!*
Booked the place for 12.00pm. Managed to reach there just a bit off-time. Heard that your booking will be canceled after 15 minutes o..

All my seniors~ Leng chai n leng lui rit? *Yee Yang is the guy in green*

Highly recommended Miso Soup from Tenji!!! Love it very much..warm n yummmmy~

Fresh oysters!! I tried one as Shalinee said it was nice. Had it with Tobasco n lemon..Not to forget the fresh scallops too! *no pic here*

The mouth-watering chocolate fondue! Very sad to say that, it only have the biscuits, some fruits and the sugar thingy..How come there aren't any mashmallows or strawberries?? T.T

After all the main course, it's time for desserts! I had a lychee-flavoured jelly, the Tiramisu *below* and the Green Tea Opera Cake *above*! n some Haagen Daz's ice-creams that we shared later. *Tummy to full to take in everything*

The Green Tea Opera Cake is really really good! Wish I could take more *sobs* Only manage to try this n not the other cakes...*regretted*

The Tiramisu~ Hmmm, it's not good. The coffee at the bottom layer is way too bitter...Didn't eat it after a few scoops..Its appearance wan't good also, as you can see in the photo. =(

Too full d..A bit cam-whoring in the ladies? haha

A final group picture before we left the yummy-licious place. *Yee Yang was holding the camera*
From left: Jia Lih, Kok Yong, Helen, Sin Du, Me, Shalinee
=D
On rush to Ikano to get Yee Yang a pair of Crocs that time!

Again, thanks to all of them for asking me to come along...
Because this meal is partially sponsored..I only have to pay RM16 for it!!!!!!

Thanks~

My Intern in LipoChem

Saturday, July 04, 2009

My intern in LipoChem had finally come to an end after 8 weeks..

8 long weeks? or 8 short weeks?
I can't be too sure.
I have learnt lots during these 8 weeks. The exposure to the industrial part of chemical engineering had really get me thinking hard.

There's a lot of first in this intern.

It's my first intern.
It's my first time to work with real engineers.
It's my first time to feel the stress u can get from ur boss.
It's my first time to see so many different manuals of different instruments.
It's my first time to know that, a plant can be this small or that huge!
It's my first time to read a PID..Process & Instrumentation Diagram.
It's my first time wearing safety shoes n safety helmet.
It's my first time to step onto the ground of a site.
It's my first time communicating with all the other workers on the site.
It's my first time trying to do hands-on jobs on site, cooperating with the workers there.
It's my first time seeing how a mimic is to be done. *partially*
It's my first time to understand how important is it to be able to communicate well with the people, in whatever languages u can speak.
It's my first time to be able to try at least, my very very best at something I'm totally not familiar with. And the result wasn't that bad after all.
It's my first time to do so many lab experiments in one day *production*.
It's my first time to be able to understand what chemical engineers do. *to a limit only, a lot more yet to be explored*
It's my first time, to sit in a meeting room, listening to a senior service engineer, to explain on how his instruments work *level indicator, mass flowmeter, pH transmitter, etc.*Thanks, Mr. Teoh.*
It's my first time to realize that chemical engineers can have a lot of paperwork too.
It's my first time to realize that the world of engineering is actually very very small.
It's my first time to realize how much you will have to sacrifice to be a chemical engineer.

*A lot more which I don't think I can finish with it..*

Very deep appreciation to all staff from LipoChem.
Huge thanks from me to everyone.

Thanks for taking me as an intern.
Thanks for forgiving my stupid mistakes. *or dont mind actually*
Thanks for explaining to me patiently, Esther, Aimee, Mr. Tang, Ms. Ang, Mr. Lee! *I know I don't understand a lot of stuff*
Thanks for taking in my stupid questions.
Thanks for the treat, Kamal and farewell lunch, Esther.

I'll miss everyone of you...
In fact, I'm missing all d...

From left: Jasmin, Ms. Ang, me, Esther, Aimee, Mr. Tang, Kamal
*I left the picture with Yoong out*

The farewell lunch was on 30th of June, Tuesday. In Sri Pinang, a thai restaurant in Shah Alam.
The food there was really yummy..It's my first time too, to get to enjoy such delicious tom yam soup!!!
I was so suprise when my supervisor, Esther handed me a gift!! It was a very beautiful necklace. Will take a picture and post it up next time. Really appreciate it.

Aimee wanted to give me the biodiesel which they produced though. haha.

With all, I wish everyone in LipoChem best of luck.
May God bless LipoChem to rise to the top of the world!
